Happy December! (Week 61)

Gooood morning!!! From....Fontana ✨️ Yes, I'm back in Fontana. I'm in a different ward though and it's been a crazy week.

Lets start at the beginning, shall we? Last Monday was Hermana Pier's last day πŸ˜ it was tragic. We had a pretty chill p-day at president's house playing jeopardy and signing journals πŸ“– Then we had our lessons (aka, we said goodbye to everyone) We met with Jesus for the last time and it was sad saying goodbye. He got us both necklaces and told us that he tried really hard to get two of the same ones, but the lady only spoke Chinese and thought he was asking if they were two dollars πŸ˜‚ And we also said goodbye to the Bravos (my favorite family ever)

Tuesday, we had a district breakfast at Ihop and then we dropped off Hermana Pier at the mission office πŸ˜•

Then I spent the rest of Tuesday and all of Wednesday in a trio with Hermana's Dean and Owens!

It was so fun! A little (lot) chaotic but fun! Wednesday morning we found out that Hermana Owens and I were leaving Rialto πŸ˜’ and then later that day Hermana Oligshlaeger called me and told me I was going to Fontana with Hermana NuΓ±ez! They don't usually tell us beforehand, but the apartment I was moving into had an issue with bedbugs... she told me they were all dead though and asked if Id still be fine going there. Assuming the issue was resolved, I said yes!

Thursday we went to the mission office for transfers and I met Hermana NuΓ±ez! She's from Chile and in her second transfer, so I'm follow-up training her ☺️

Come to find out, the bed but issue is not fully resolved...
I spent my first night here in a hotel, and we had to disinfect our ENTIRE apartment with alcohol because they fumigated it. So, I did not know what I was getting myself into πŸ˜…

I've had fun in Fontana though! I've already:
✅️ met family members
✅️ had a soccer night (my favorite part was teaching someone what "lock in" meant and then hearing them yell "lock in, please!" In a Spanish accent throughout the game)
✅️ Had random people give us cake and chorizo
✅️Had an hermano compliment my shoes and say he wants to get a pair for himself πŸ˜
✅️ Bore my testimony
✅️ Learned how to use a spin top (I got it on my second try)
✅️ Had our car breakdown πŸ˜ (The battery died and left us stranded for about an hour)

Needless to say, this has been quite the week! I've definitely learned to rely on my Savior through it all and I've learned how much peace and solace comes from studying the scriptures. We've had a couple of days without personal study this week and I can truly say that the scriptures make a difference in my life. So my invitation for you this week is to read your scriptures! I can promise you that it will make a difference!

I love you all πŸ’•
