Feliz Día de Pavo 🦃 (Week 60)

And another week has passed 🗓 Happy December everybody ❄️⛄️🛷 It is so crazy how time flies, whenever I think about last December it feels like so long ago but also like yesterday at the same time 🤔 Not quite sure how that works... Anyways, I hope you all had a FANTASTIC Thanksgiving filled with lots of pie 🥧 and other good things 🤗 This is how my week went:

Fausto 📗🍔⛪️ If you recall my email from last week, you will remember that our friend Fausto who got baptized two weeks ago told us he didn't want to come to church anymore 😭 As it turns out, he just had a hard week and is actually still down to come to church 🥳 He took hna Pier and I to In N Out this week to say goodbye to her since she goes home 🏡 wayyyy to soon 😢

Thanksgiving 🦃🥧📺 We spent the day visiting members and it was so fun! The first visit we made was to Gladys, who is very pregnant 🤰 and very sweet! She gave us plantains and fried rice and just chatted with us! After a couple more visits, we headed to the Zamoras for dinner! It was very delicious 😋 but also kinda awkward 😬 😅 Wednesday (the show) was playing a little too loudly on the TV and there was very little conversation around the table...

Pedro 🌊🙏🤗 is our friend that we found 2(ish) weeks ago! We finally got to meet with him for reals and he is just so cool 😎 and so excited to be baptized! He also brought us chocolates 🍫 because he wanted to wish us happy Thanksgiving!

Claudia 📘🛒☺️ was a MIRACLE! We went to El Super at the end of the night to use the bathroom and we ran into Claudia! She told us that she sent in a request for a Book of Mormon and couple of months ago 🤯 We immediately gave her a copy and she was so happy 😊 Unfortunately, she doesn't live in our area, so we had to send her to other missionaries

Yesterday the missionaries were in charge of Sacrament meeting 🗣🎵👭 and it went so well! We all gave talks and it was so good! And this leads me into my spiritual thought ✨️ 💭☝️

In 2 Nephi 33:11, Nephi is talking about how God had called him to write the history of his people "notwithstanding [his] weakness". Today, that history is apart of The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. This is a book that has changed so many lives including my own. So the line "notwithstanding my weakness" really caught my attention. And it made me think 🤔 If Nephi could do such a great thing even though he felt like it was one of his weaknesses, what can I do? It's one thing to simply say "with God all things are possible" and another thing to actually believe it. As a part of life, we all have our own weaknesses - things that we feel hold us back. But nothing is impossible with God. He will make our weaknesses strong (Ether 12:27) and through Him and His love we can overcome anything!

I love you all 💗 Have a great week!
