Miracles Abound (Week 73)

Hello everyone! It was an absolutely crazy week πŸ˜… but also so fun! So, the only advice I have is, buckle up!

πŸ’₯To start it off, we had hna. Kennard's last noche de hogar (family home evening) before she went to peru ✈️ and our friend Isidoro came! We hadn't heard from him in a while, and it turns out that he moved πŸ˜ He's been a member for a couple of months now, so hopefully we'll be able to help him start going to church there πŸ€ž
πŸ’₯ Tuesday we had our last district counsel and about 20 minutes in sister O came and picked up hnas. Kennard and Michelson. Then I drove with hna. Vega to the mission office. It was a sad day...
πŸ’₯ But the day got better! I was in a trio with Sisters Pelenato and Bentley and it was so fun πŸ˜ We had a lesson with our cute friend Karla who's expecting her 7th baby πŸ€°Went to a lesson for the Randall hnas with Luz - the sweetest person ever☀️ Went to a member meal with a Samoan family! The dinner included broccoli, chicken, garlic bread, rice, steak, turkey tail chop suey, and lamb. Plus ice cream. It was delicious πŸ€€ but we ate so much food...and took home a bag full of leftovers (which we later gave to some other missionaries). And then we got in contact with a couple of inactive families!
πŸ’₯ We ran around all day on Wednesday as well, but we managed to meet Francisco! He's really cool πŸ˜Ž
πŸ’₯ Thursday we headed to transfers and πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯I'm training! Her name is hermana Jones and she's from Texas! She is incredible and I'm so so excited for the transfer! That night we met Jose. He is awesome, to put it simply and it was such a big miracle. We had in our schedule to knock his apartment complex towards the end of the night, but we felt like we needed to go sooner, so we headed over. We met him 10 minutes before he left to go to work πŸ•› God's timing πŸ”›πŸ”
πŸ’₯ Friday we had a couple of lessons that went really well! One was with Francisco and the other was a pass off lesson. Then we went to soccer night ⚽️ and I managed to score a goal #miracle
πŸ’₯ Saturday we met the cutest lady named Ana outside the laundromat. We invited her to church and she just started crying. She's been going through a really hard time and she had been looking for a church to go to. We knew that God had sent us to her.
πŸ’₯ Sunday was my last fast and testimony meeting as a missionary πŸ€― It is absolutely crazy how the time has flown. I bore my testimony and right before me hna. Jones bore hers. It was a good Sunday. After church we ran around and ended up having 3 lessons! One with an inactive family, one with Jose, and one with a recent convert. None of them were planned πŸ˜… It was chaotic but fun!

And now, for a spiritual thought πŸ₯³ In honor of hna. Jones, here's her favorite scripture:

"Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid; for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also has become my salvation."

2 Nephi 22:2

I know there's a lot of crazy things going on in the world right now. There's a lot of confusion and a lot of fear. I love how this verse says "I will trust and not be afraid". When we have faith in God it overcomes our fear. Even to the point where we'll feel like singing πŸŽΆ

I love you, God loves you, have a great week ❤️ hna. Erickson
