Tengo Gripe (Week 68)

Hello all! Good morning! Welcome back to my (almost) weekly updates 🤗 I hope you all are doing well and enjoying this winter season ❄️ It still kind of feels like spring/summer here, so I'm loving it!

Okay, so a couple of really cool things have happened these past two weeks!

1) A couple of Mondays ago (the 12th) We had a family home evening activity at the church and our best friend Ramiro came!! He absolutely LOVED it and got to talk to a lot of the ward members 🫂 But the coolest thing that happened it we invited him to make a covenant with God on Sunday and be baptized! He was so happy that we couldn't stop smiling all night and he told everyone about his baptism 😊

He's so excited to go to the temple on February 5th!! He is just so cool and he has such a strong testimony of Jesus Christ. He asked us yesterday if we'd been able to see an difference in him since his baptism, and we have. It's been incredible to see how the gospel has blessed his life!

2) You might notice in the photo above, that my companion is different. The other big thing that happened was transfers! I said goodbye to hna. Núñez 😭 But she's now serving in San Jacinto (which is one of my favorite braches ever!)

I'm now following up training hna. Kennard from Germany! She's actually American, but she's lived in Germany for the last 4 years 🇩🇪 She's really cool and we get along really well! She's actually waiting for her visa to go to Peru, so she'll probably be leaving at the end of February

3) The third big thing that happened is we got to go to the temple with Cesar! It was his first time going through the temple and he absolutely love it. A lot of the ward, and even sime past missionaries, came to support him which was awesome! Then, on Sunday, he baptized Ramiro! Overall, a pretty big week for him 🎊

I think the covers all the big events. Other than that, we found some pretty cool people tracting 🤑, I've been helping hna. Kennard learn Spanish (she was trained in an English area 😬), and we both got sick 🤒

(Us last night because we weren't able to go out)

And now, onto my spiritual thought 🥁🥁🥁
This week, I've been studying the Atonement of Jesus Christ. And I have learned so much. Honestly I'm not sure exactly what I want to share here, but I do want to testify. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. I know that it is because of Him that we have joy, that we have peace, that we can be with our families forever. He is the light of the world, the prince of peace, and my older brother. There is nothing in this world that can separate you, or me, or anyone from His love. I encourage each of you to seek for that peace in your life. If you don't have it right now, you can have it. If it's something that's already a part of your daily life, share it with others.

I love you guys! Have a great week 🙌
