Happy Monday everyone! Sorry I didn't write last week, I took a nap instead
Not a lot of memorable things happened two weeks ago, but here are this week's highlights:

Halloween
It was a pretty normal day, we ended our day at 6pm and came back to our apartment and planned and hung out with our roommates! Other than being a day absolutely PACKED with lessons, not a lot happened!

Día de los muertos

There was a HUGE fiesta for día de los muertos on Saturday. So many people came and we got to go and help out! I even saw members from old areas which was incredible! It was a long day though...we were there from 3:00 until 8:45 and from 4-8 we were walking around talking to everyone we could. A bunch of other missionaries came and by the end of the night, we found 52 people! It was an incredible day

Jesus got baptized

Yesterday, my friend Jesus got baptized! He was so happy, he couldn't stop smiling. It was incredible. He was so excited, he tried to go under the water before the hermano baptizing him had the chance to say the prayer! I've never seen someone so excited to be baptized. A couple nights ago, he told us he was trying to change his life and then we knocked on his door. It's amazing to see how much this gospel blesses people. It brings so much peace and so many blessings. Also, his baptism was in his birthday which was pretty cool! And one of our members bought a cake (even though he doesn't eat cake lol)
And on to a spiritual thought...
"By small means the Lord can bring about great things" - 1 Nephi 16:29
"It is the small kindnesses we share that make the biggest difference in the hearts and minds of those we serve" - Rebecca L. Craven
Sometimes, life is overwhelming. There's just so much to do and so little time and sometimes we feel like we're just not doing enough. I love this scripture and this quote because it really is the small things that matter. A smile, a wave, a simple check in, can make such a big difference in other people's lives. Whatever effort we can give to the Lord, he can make the most of it. He can bring about great things with our small offerings. Whatever you have got to give, it is enough! Never doubt that!
I love you guys
have a great week! Until next time

DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS

️ (by hermana dean) (only if you want more info) (edited to my life)

️ (by hermana dean) (only if you want more info) (edited to my life) November 1st went CRAZYYY!!! We started the day by helping a member in our ward move out with the entire zone
which was so fun and actually so efficient!!
After that, we squeezed in some studies, then zipped over to Fontana to help set up for the MASSIVE Día de los Muertos event the stake there was putting on. It was a wayyy bigger deal than I thought it would be
. We had to show up an hour early for a training on what to do
. In total, we had about 1600 people show up! 20% were non-members and 30% were inactives
. Literally all the Spanish missionaries in the Inland Empire were there, plus some English ones, so I got to see my besties
! And then, to my surprise (and great delight), I was able to reunite with members and friends from almost ALL my previous areas

. I gave hugs to all my secondary moms from Yucca! One of my favorite recent converts of all time (if you remember him, you're a real one! his baptism was over a year ago
), Oscar showed up too!! It was so hard not to give him and his 8-year-old son a big hug
! It was the most precious and full-circle reunion. Plus, the food was good, the live music was incredible, the traditional dances they did were SO fun, and everyone enjoyed themselves playing games at the various booths there were. The crown jewel
of the whole event was the family history/temple display/resources that they had set up to teach people about their ancestry! It was literally the coolest event ever. For the 5 hours we were there, we only got 1 phone number :(. HOWEVER, as a whole, our missionary team was able to get 52 referrals from non-members
!! So I'd say it was a successful night :)!
