Influenza (Week 12)

Hey everybody! I hope your all doing well and staying healthy!

My week has been crazy! On Christmas we had a zone activity where we built gingerbread houses and it was so fun! We cane in 3rd place (out of 3...) for the competition because we maybe cheated a little bit by buying a premade house 😂The rest of the day was pday, and then we had dinner with our branch President!

Thursday was pretty busy! We stared the day with a zone wide service project helping a family move their garden. It was a

lot of work, but a lot of fun too! My car story of the week (because, for some reason I always have one) happened today. We got stuck in some sand after I missed a turn and Google maps rerouted us down a dirt road (the road was a dead end by the way). Thanks to my grandpa's training, we were able to unstick the car and we made it to English class only 15 minutes late!

Friday we had emergency exchanges with the english sisters because one of them was SUPER sick with the flu. It was fun trying to combine both of our schedules, but it all worked out!

On Saturday our friend Esteban got baptize which was amazing! Also really stressful because we had to through a whole baptism together in a day (he was supposed to get baptized Sunday, but he had to move it)

On Sunday there were more emergency exchanges! It was a pretty boring day, I stayed with the sick Sister all day. The exciting part of the day was when we went to the emergency room! It was so busy and we were there for 4 hours...turns out she has the flu. Not the best news...

Today we had our last zone activity (transfers happen on Thursday) and more exchanges! I went with one of the english sisters to the activity and to the store while my companion (who is now sick) stayed with the other sick missionary. And now I'm back at the emergency room with my companion so she can get tested and get medicine for the flu. So far I'm not showing any symptoms and I hope it stays that way, but it looks like this week is going to be interesting too!

Love you all! Write to me if you have the time!

Happy New Year
